Good afternoon, Eaton families! We are excited for a great year. Here is your Monday Minute for the week of August 31st.
1. Book Fair opens tomorrow. You can use the digital wallet or send money with your student on their scheduled day. https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/eatonelementaryschool1
2. Parent/Teacher Conferences are this Thursday, September 3rd from 3:30-6:30 please make plans to attend. Your classroom teacher should reach out to schedule a time but feel free to send them a message if you haven’t scheduled yet.
3. There is no LAUNCH on Tuesday and Thursday this week.
4. We have lots of volunteer opportunities coming over the next month so check it out: https://bit.ly/26-27EESVolSignup . We also have our first Community School Partnership (formerly PTO) meeting on Tuesday at 9:30 in the cafeteria.
5. Rocketeer went home today so check your child’s backpack for the happenings in September and Cosmic Café menus. Here is a digital copy: https://aptg.co/SxLM9T
6. This week we are starting our classroom initiative for more sidewalk helpers in the morning. We are thankful to everyone who is helping open doors from 7:15-8:00. (Tuesday: Kolwyck & Maddox, Wednesday: Byrd and Doughtery, Thursday: Byars and Dorton, Friday: Hurst)
7. We will have a safety drill this week.
8. Friday we are encouraging everyone to wear orange to kick off the football season.
9. Next week is our Spirit Week as we prepare for our one fundraiser. Tuesday: PJ day, Wednesday: School Spirit, Thursday: Color War, and Friday: Farm day
10. No school Monday for Labor Day.

Our Community School Partnership (CSP) is looking for volunteers for several exciting events in September! Whether you have an hour or can help throughout an event, we'd love to have you join us in making Eaton an amazing place for our students and staff.
Volunteer opportunities include:
