Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of February 2nd.
1. School Counselor Appreciation is this week, and we are lucky to have Dr. Sweet and Mrs. Harris serving our students. If you have a chance send them a quick note letting them know how much you appreciate them! harriss@loudoncounty.org sweetb@loudoncounty.org
2. Wednesday will be “Stand up w/Ms. Stephanie” day where we are asking everyone to wear pink and/or hats. We will also be asking for donations to help her as she battles cancer. Every contribution, big or small, will help lift up Ms. Stephanie who has given so much to our school. The top class will earn an ice cream sundae party.
3. We need a few things for Wednesdays staff appreciation “Soup-er Bowl” luncheon. If you can donate, please sign up here: https://bit.ly/25-26EESVolSignup
4. Candy Grams start Thursday. We need a few volunteers to help sell candy grams at lunchtime. If you can help, please sign up here: https://bit.ly/25-26EESVolSignup
5. Morning Drop-off: If you appreciate those amazing volunteers on the sidewalk, please consider donating some handwarmers. Our supply is starting to run low, and we would love to shower them with hot hands while they greet our rocket scholars in the morning.
6. Parent conferences are on Thursday, February 5th. We hope you will make time to meet with us to talk about your child’s progress.

8. Parent Tip: This week’s parent tip is a guide to help with Parent-teacher conference. Use the link to download the guide before conferences and mark what you feel your child is doing well (checkmark) and what you think your child is having trouble(x). Before the Super Bowl game on 2/8 our staff is having a Soup-er Bowl competition with a cook-off for February Staff Appreciation. The staff are providing the soups for the cook-off and our PTO/CSP are providing everything else. We are still in need of bowls, bread, crackers, 2-liter drinks, cheese, and spoons. I n January, Ms Massie’s and Mrs Slingerland’s kindergarten classroom celebrated Dolly’s 80th birthday! They read Dolly books, designed a coat of many colors, danced to 9 to 5 and sang Happy Birthday to Dolly! What a great way to celebrate the Queen of East Tennessee!

Saanvi kicked off our morning as our guest announcer. She did a superb job and brought a smile to everyone's face. In honor of Mozart's birthday she spoke about us all being talented and challenged us to give the world a little love by sharing our special talents.
