Today we celebrate Mrs. Selvidge — our caring special education paraprofessional whose kindness, patience, and dedication help students succeed every day. Thank you for all you do. Wishing you a joyful birthday filled with appreciation and warmth! 🎈💛📚

Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of January 26th.
1. This week is School Board Appreciation Week, and we’d love your help celebrating the dedicated leaders who support our students, staff, and schools. Our board members volunteer countless hours to make thoughtful decisions that shape the future of our district. This is a great time to show a little extra gratitude. 💛
2. We have a few events in February that are still needing volunteers or donations. We have one Friday for ice cream, several Candy Grams slots, and donations for the soup cookoff on February 4th. We are also looking for donations of Hershey kisses for the candy grams Click on the link if you can help signup today: https://bit.ly/25-26EESVolSignup
3. We were supposed to have our “Stand up w/Ms. Stephanie” day tomorrow but we will be rescheduling this event. We will update you on the date when we return to school.
4. Morning Drop-off: If you appreciate those amazing volunteers on the sidewalk, please consider donating some handwarmers. Our supply is starting to run low, and we would love to shower them with hot hands while they greet our rocket scholars in the morning.
5. Winter Jackets: Please make sure to send your student to school with a jacket and place their name on the inside so we can return it if its misplaced.
6. Friday we will celebrate the 100th day of school and have our school spelling bee tournament.
7. Parent conferences are around the corner, February 5th, so please make time to meet with your child’s teacher.
8. Dismissal: We have lots of vehicles without pickup car tags. Please have these displayed when you come through so we can keep the line moving swiftly.
9. Parent Tip: This week’s parent tip has a link for creating paper airplanes which could help burn off any extra energy. Building paper airplanes gives kids a hands-on way to explore creativity while learning basic principles of physics and design. It also strengthens fine motor skills, following directions, and encourages problem solving as they tweak their planes to fly better. https://frugalfun4boys.com/how-to-make-awesome-paper-airplanes/
Have a great week!

💖 Thank you for leading with kindness, showing up with passion, and sprinkling a little extra love into everything you do.
💞 Your decisions shape our students’ futures, and your dedication makes our community shine.
💓 We appreciate you more than words can say!

🧮✨ Shoutout to Our Perennial Math Team! ✨🧮 We’re incredibly proud of this hardworking group of problem‑solvers who represent our school with so much talent and determination. We’ll have:
✨ Hands-on math stations for all ages

Good afternoon, Eaton families. Here is your Monday Minute for the week of January 19th.
1. We are looking for volunteers to help sell ice cream on Fridays and Candy Grams in February. We are also looking for donations of Hershey kisses for the candy grams and items for our Soup-off competition. Check out our link for volunteer or donation opportunities that are coming up: https://bit.ly/25-26EESVolSignup
2. Friday is our January family engagement evening from 5:30-7:00. It will have a math focus developed for each grade level. We hope you will come and join us for an evening of math fun. Swing by for some lemonade theme fun!
3. Next Tuesday, January 27th we are going to have a “Stand up w/Ms. Stephanie” day as our school community comes together to support our beloved paraprofessional currently battling cancer. Students are encouraged to take part in this meaningful donation day and show how powerful our compassion can be. Every contribution, big or small, helps lift up someone who has given so much. 💙Students are encouraged to wear a hat and/or pink. The class that donates the most will earn a ice cream sundae party.
4. Morning Drop-off: To help keep our students safe and ensure a smooth morning arrival, all students must be dropped off along the main sidewalk only (directly in front of the school). The side lot is not a designated drop off area for students in kindergarten through 4th grade and should not be used for student arrival. Additionally, we ask that parents remain in their vehicles during drop off and avoid walking students up to the sidewalk. We have volunteers and staff members on the sidewalk to assist students as they enter the building. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and efficient arrival process for everyone.
5. Winter Jackets: Please make sure to send your student to school with a jacket and place their name on the inside so we can return it if its misplaced.
6. Covenant Health Kids Run Kickoff Event will be February 7, 2026, at Zoo Knoxville! Here is the flyer: https://aptg.co/ZDqNPs Registration/check-in will take place starting at 8 am with the run beginning at 9 am. The Covenant Health Kids Run in downtown Knoxville is also set for Saturday, April 11. They will accept walk up registration on Feb 7, but they prefer online registration here:

successful students by setting good study habits and organizational skills. It’s in English https://aptg.co/0lH8FC and Spanish https://aptg.co/x5PZhm
