Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of January 29th.
1. On Wednesday the Rocketeer will go home so please make sure to check your child’s backpack so you stay up to date on the happenings.
2. Thursday will be the 100th day of school celebration. We look forward to seeing the students who are 100 years old and others who wear 100th day shirts.
3. Friday will be class school pictures and the spelling bee.
4. Next week is School Counselor Appreciation week. We are very thankful for Mrs. Choate and Mrs. Harris. If you have a chance, please send them a message telling them how much you appreciate them.
5. Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, February 8th. Please reach out to your child's teacher to schedule a time.
6. Valentine’s day is around the corner, and we want to remind everyone that we don’t accept deliveries on that day. We ask that you share all those special deliveries and treats at home.

Today, Mrs. Humphrey’s Pre-K began this week’s letter focus by learning about penguins. They connected their reading and science to math by using pattern blocks to build penguins. They expanded the activity to also review counting.

Maria was our guest announcer this morning. She highlighted Mozart and his heart of genius. She challenged our students to give our world a little love by sharing one of their special talents with someone.
Rylee was our guest announcer this morning and did an extraordinary job. She highlighted 18 birthdays and Martin Luther King Jr. day that were missed during our snowstorm.
Before the snow storm, our staff enjoyed celebrating the level "A" on our school report card. Parents are the child's first and most important teacher! We appreciate you working hand in hand with our staff to make this possible! #SchoolLetterGradesTN
Based on current conditions, Loudon County Schools will be closed tomorrow January 18 and Friday, January 19.

No school Monday, January 15th
Mrs. Humphrey’s Pre-K explored shapes this week. Students explored which shapes can be combined to make new shapes. They also used creativity to build art work ranging from buildings to characters with details.
Congratulations to the VFW Post 5150 Teachers of the Year, Mrs. Jamie Byars. We always knew she was amazing and are proud that others see it too.
Margaret was our guest announcer this week. She did a remarkable job. If Mrs. Baessler is sick we know who can fill in.
Noah was a rockstar this morning as our guest announcer! He was eager to show off his talent.
