Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of August 28th.
1. If you are wanting to eat lunch with your child, please make sure you call the school prior to coming to schedule an appointment. We have limited seating so we can only take a certain amount. After you have confirmed an appointment, you will then pre-register with Raptor so we can have your visitor badge printed for you. Link to pre-register: https://bit.ly/EESRaptor
2. The Rocketeer will be coming home on Thursday so check it out that evening. The Rocketeer will have a message from the administration, family calendar, PTO connection, breakfast/lunch menus, and more.
3. We will not have school on Monday, September 4th for Labor Day.
Have a great week and if we can do anything please reach out.
Tonight is Battle of the Bridge. We want to wish good luck to our PE teacher Coach Harig.
Paisley brought a monarch chrysalis to school today and she came out during Reading today! If you see a monarch butterfly around Eaton, her name is Moonlight and she is fabulous. 🦋
Rachel Greer, Honorary Eaton Elementary teacher, is a member of LCCC. We wish she could be here with us this year because she is amazing educator, colleague, and friend. We appreciate Lenoir City Church of Christ spreading the positivity and bringing a smile to everyone's face on Thursday mornings just as Rachel did everyday at our school!
Grandparents dinner reservations are due this Friday. Don't delay!
We've had a great sidewalk crew this week. Thank you @eatonpto and @myfbclc for helping open doors this week. Mrs. Baessler brought the bubble machine out for hump day too!
We enjoyed having Zoodles Animal Encounter come on Tuesday to visit our school. Our students were able to see and hear about lots of animals during an assembly.
Parents, if your child got a picture with an animal, we should have those in about 2 weeks. Check out these pictures highlighting the event: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.853501082973346&type=3
Zoodles animal encounter is today and all students need a permission slip to attend. Don't forget to send it with your child today.

2. Morning Arrival Pro Tip: If the EES only line is backed up to the road use the EES and NMS line. You will loop through NMS line and come back to EES to drop-off.
3. Kindergarten parents – Lunch boxes should be saved for lunchtime. 😊
4. PTO Grandparents Dinner reservations forms need to be turned in on Friday. Grandparents_Dinner_Flyer.pdf (core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com)

We are excited to welcome SRO Freeman to our campus for this school year. ❤️🚀❤️
Mrs. Baessler started the morning with bubbles as she welcomed everyone to school this morning. What do you think? Should we have bubble Wednesday to get us through hump day or on Fridays to celebrate the end of the week?
We have enjoyed having Lieutenant Bowen on our campus. He has helped our 4th grade color guard hang the flag this week and talked with them about how we respect the flag.
Mrs. Byrd's room reviewed the Tall Tale domain today by making concept maps in small groups and presenting them to the class!
Last day to register for LAUNCH is tomorrow! Registration will close at 4pm on Friday.
