🍋Week 1 = DONE! We’ve stirred up sibling rivalry, sweetened our vocab, and squeezed out some serious reading power with Chapters 1–3 of "The Lemonade War!" From Evan’s emotional rollercoaster to Jessie’s brainy brilliance, we’re diving into the drama and gearing up for a juicy showdown. 💛 Here are our week 1 winners!

Here are some pictures from 4th grades virtual field trip with Captains Mike and Josh from Epic Airboat Tours! We learned firsthand all about how invasive species are taking over the native habitat and ecosystems of the Florida Everglades and their impacts on the native animals that call it home. Captain Mike even caught a large male Green Iguana(seen in one of the photos) while we were on the call! The kids were impressed. An interesting fact they told us is that around 95% of all furred animals (bear, deer, and Florida Panthers just to name a few) in the Everglades have disappeared due to all the different invasive species taking over! Students (and their teachers) were shocked by this statistic! This was such a great way to wrap up our ecosystem unit in science.

Mrs. Gonzalez & Ms. West had a special guest, Courtney, to visit & help end their Human Body Domain. She talked about how to fuel their bodies the right way, reviewed the body systems, and wrapped up the visit by leading them through some fun movement and stretches.

🍎✨ Gratitude on Wheels! ✨🍎 Our snack cart rolled out this week with a little extra love thanks to the Henderson family! 💛 From salty treats to sweet pick-me-ups, every donated item brought a smile & a boost to our staff. Thank you for showing up in such a thoughtful way.

Nurse Mark spoke to 1st grade about staying healthy, eating healthy, having checkups, etc. to help us wrap up our Knowledge Unit! He spoke to Ms. Hannah's, Ms. Webb's, and Ms. Dutrumble's class today.
