Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of March 4th.
1. We do not have school tomorrow.
2. As we celebrate Read Across America week we have two more dress up days this week. Wednesday (3/6) will be hat day. Thursday (3/7) will be favorite character day.
3. Thursday (3/7) we will have Kona Ice on site as a incentive to celebrate the end of the 3rd grading term. Students can get shaved ice for $3.00. Your teacher child's sent flyers home last week.
4. Thursday (3/7) will also be the 3rd grade musical at Central United Methodist Church at 6:30. We hope you will join us. Students arrive at 6:00 but parents will not be allowed into the sanctuary until 6:20.
5. Friday (3/8) will be the end of term 3, spring individual pictures, and College and Career Day. We are asking students to dress for an interview and 3rd and 4th grade will have a career fair that afternoon.
6. Next week is Spring Break, March 11-15.
7. April is the Month of the Military Child so if your child’s guardian is currently serving, please complete this survey so we can include them in our “Purple Up” activity. https://forms.office.com/r/eKL7DFb31X
8. Make sure to check your child's backpack because the Rocketeer newsletter and Art to Remember flyer went home last week.
9. Repeat: Our next PTO and Family Engagement event will be a “Multicultural Family Night” on April 12th. If you would like to come and set up a table to share your family’s history, please use this link to get more information. https://forms.office.com/r/yv9rpnftYV . You can also email eatonpto@loudoncounty.org for information or questions.

365 days in a year? Not this year. 🤷♀️Rebekah was our guest announcer this morning and explained to our school why this day is special. Did you know it actually takes 365 days and 6 hours for the earth to orbit the sun? 4 years times 6 hours = 24 hours and 24 hours = 1 day.

We wore green today for the extra day in February in honor of a Leap Year. Staff also had a frog hunt and gummy frogs.
