🚀 **Blasting Off to Success!** 🚀 Congrats to our December Students of the Month! Your dedication and hard work have launched you to new heights. Keep aiming for the stars! 🌟

Charlotte, guest announcer, started our morning off with a quote from Maya Angelou, "Each new hour holds new chances for new beginnings." We hope our students will grab hold of the "new chances for new beginnings" today in the new year. Great job Charlotte!

Wilder was our guest announcer this morning and challenged our scholars to write down their 2025 semester goals. Remember these words, "Climb high. Climb far. Your goal the sky. Your aim the stars."

Happy Birthday to 3rd Grade Teacher, Mrs. Wellner! 🎈 You’re a true role model for our students. May your birthday be as special as you are to us!

Good afternoon, Eaton families! Welcome Back. Here is your Monday Minute for the week of January 6th.
1) January and February can be tricky weather months so be sure you have downloaded the Loudon County app and have the notifications turned on. The app will allow you to stay connected with any delays, closures, and early dismissals. The app can be found on the Google Play or Apple App store.
2) Report Cards go home on Thursday. Please sign them and send them back to school. Your teacher will also be sending home your child’s winter benchmark for reading and math as well as a Boost Caregiver report giving you more insight into your child’s progress.
3) LAUNCH will begin on Monday, January 13th. If you are new to LAUNCH permission slips will need to be turned in before they are allowed to start next week.
4) Rocketeer will come home tomorrow. If you need the breakfast or lunch menu, see our Facebook page.
5) In December we had our Principals Night In where we gathered parent input, shared updates, and had a great presentation about internet safety from the Loudon County Sherris office. You can find the Eaton Updates powerpoint at https://5il.co/3490l
6) We have a few volunteer opportunities coming in February. If you would like to help with class pictures, Bingo for Books, or the book fair please sign up here: https://bit.ly/2024EESVolSignup.
7) Parent Tip: Academic vocabulary is extremely important. These words help students understand oral directions and classroom instructions as well as comprehend text across different subject areas. Here is a handy handout regarding academic vocabulary and why it is important. https://5il.co/34976
Thank you for all that you do to make EES great! Have a great week and if we can do anything please reach out.
