Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of October 12th.
1. It is Read-a-thon and Carnival Week!
2. We sent home flyers for pre-sale wristbands and punch cards today. There is a discount if you preorder these items for Friday’s carnival. The wristbands and punch cards will be ready for you at the “Will Call” table on Friday night. The last day to preorder is Thursday. https://aptg.co/fCZnvN
3. Read-a-thon pledges are due this week to qualify for prizes. All donations must be turned in by 3:00pm on Wednesday. We have also added a “donate now” option using the square app so it can be done electronically too. Your family and friends can use this link or QR code to directly donate to your child. We have attached a flyer with this additional feature to the Monday Minute so you can share with family and friends. https://aptg.co/J4-88r Here is the link to donate too: https://square.link/u/aRuasXnJ
4. Our Silent Auction has also gone live starting today and will run until Friday at 7:30. We have tons of great experiences, art projects, and baskets available this year. Check out the link to start placing your bids today. https://www.32auctions.com/2026EESauction
5. The “Rocketeer” went home before Fall Break but here is the electronic copy in case it has been misplaced: https://aptg.co/kGYK21
6. We have lots of volunteer opportunities coming over the next month so check it out: https://bit.ly/26-27EESVolSignup . We specially need help with the “Apple Nacho Bar” on October 23rd.
7. No LAUNCH on Tuesday due to after school staff meetings.
8. Report Cards will go home on Thursday.
9. Parent Tip: We are wrapping up Charlotte’s Web this week and in Chapters 18-22, children see how true friendship means supporting others, even during difficult times. Talk with your child about the sacrifices Charlotte makes for Wilbur and how her kindness and hard work help him succeed. Ask questions such as, “How did Charlotte show she cared about Wilbur?” and “Have you ever helped a friend when they needed you?” These conversations can help children understand the importance of compassion, loyalty, and putting others before themselves.
Let’s make it a great week,
