📚✨ Investing in Our Learners Through Professional Development! ✨📚 After school today, our teachers participated in engaging professional development focused on strengthening instruction through two exciting programs: Pathways for grades 2-4 and Reading Eggs for our PreK-1 students. A special thank you to Christy Poole for facilitating this valuable training and helping our staff build confidence with these instructional tools. Your expertise and support are greatly appreciated! We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Good Neighbor Shoppe for supporting the implementation of Reading Eggs for our youngest learners. Together, we are creating stronger pathways to reading success for every child! ❤️📖

Last Friday, our students and staff proudly celebrated Freedom Week as we learned about and honored important moments in our nation's history. Throughout the day, students explored the significance of the U.S. Constitution, reflected on the freedoms it protects, and recognized American holidays such as Independence Day (4th of July) and other events that have shaped our country.

Thank you to our teachers for creating meaningful learning experiences and to our students for their enthusiasm as we celebrated what it means to be an American! ❤️🤍💙 Full Album on Facebook.

Good afternoon, Eaton families! Here is your Monday Minute for the week of September 21st.

1. Thank you for the orange donations last week to make our staff snack appreciation a hit!

2. We are encouraging students to wear orange on Friday to support UT football.

3. We will have the Rocket Reporter on Friday so check our social media to catch the student led announcements.

4. Tellico Village Players will wrap up their in-house theatre program this week with 3rd and 4th grade.

5. We are entering week 2 of our Charlotte’s Web schoolwide book study. Keep collecting those donations for some great prizes. Remember this is our only fundraiser for the year. Two questions you can ask your kids this week as we are reading are: 🐷 "Why do you think Charlotte decided to help Wilbur, and what does that teach us about being a friend?" 🕸️ "How do the words in Charlotte's web change the way the people on the farm see Wilbur?"

6. We have lots of volunteer opportunities coming over the next month so check it out: https://bit.ly/26-27EESVolSignup .

7. Parent Tip: For the safety of everyone on our campus, please remember that distracted driving can happen in just a moment. We ask all drivers to remain focused, stay hands-free, and put phones away while in the car rider line and parking areas. Every child deserves a safe arrival and departure each day, and your attention behind the wheel plays a critical role in making that happen. Thank you for helping us keep our students, staff, and families safe each day! 🚗🚸💙💛🚀

Let’s make it a great week,

Eaton Staff
