Good afternoon, Eaton families! We are excited for a great year. Here is your Monday Minute for the week of August 24th.

1. Battle of the Bridge is here. We will be accepting canned food for Lenoir City and Loudon. Both schools have bins in the front foyer until August 27th. https://aptg.co/CPTr1r

2. Grandparents Dinner forms went home last week. The dinner will take place on September 11th and there will be picture station and after school access to the book fair. Form: https://aptg.co/xHL0FY

3. Book Fair opens on September 1st and Mrs. Wiggins will be sending more information home.

4. Parent/Teacher Conferences are on September 3rd from 3:30-6:30 please make plans to attend. Your classroom teacher should reach out to schedule a time but feel free to send them a message if you haven’t scheduled yet.

5. During the Open House and Title One Parent meeting at the beginning of the month we had several handouts for you. The compact can also be found in our student handbook located in your student agenda.

7. Rocketeer will go home on Monday, August 31st so check your child’s backpack for the happenings in September and Cosmic Café menus.

Eaton Elementary and North Middle Schools have worked year after year to make our student dismissal process as efficient and quick as possible, however, regardless of the time that anyone arrives to campus our traffic will not move until after 3:00 when students are dismissed.  Overflow stopping and parking in the area of Highway 70 and Hickory Creek Road has become a dangerous situation.  Please follow the school's published procedures for afternoon pickup and schedule your arrival to avoid the congestion prior to our 3:00 dismissal. Beginning today, the Sheriff's Department will not allow this area to become congested with vehicles stopping to gain entry to campus. Please reference the Sheriff's Department Facebook page. We thank the Sheriff's Department for their efforts to keep our kids and families safe.  We appreciate your understanding and support.

Good afternoon, Eaton families! We are excited for a great year. Here is your Monday Minute for the week of August 17th.
1. Car Tags during dismissal are essential in making our process runs smoothly. We ask that you keep your orange car tag displayed in the window until your child is safe in the vehicle. If you don’t have one displayed you will be asked to pull to the “U”, which is a parking lot located on the side of the building so we can check your license to verify you are able to pick up the student.

2. During arrival all students should be dropped off via the car line. Anytime parents walk students in the traffic stops and we want to limit that as much as possible. We understand there are some special exceptions like special permission due to student needs, bringing medicine in, or for a scheduled parent meeting. We want to keep our traffic moving as quickly as possible so please drop your students off on the sidewalk via the car.

4. We will have one safety drill this week.
