Hello and welcome to my classroom page where you can find important information about me and events in our classroom or school. My name is Shannon Smith and this is my sixth year teaching at Eaton Elementary school. I am originally from Texas and moved to Tennessee 9 years ago with my family. I have a Master's degree in Elementary Education and K-6 license and a Bachelor's degree in Education Studies. I have been married to my husband, Cory, for 26 years and our twins, Madison and Mason attend Lenoir City High School. Our family, along with our 2 dogs (Cooper and Toby) love camping, boating and being in the mountains!
I am excited about teaching fourth grade again this year, and getting to know your child. Fourth grade takes what students learned in third grade to the next step with a heavy emphasis on writing. In Math we will focus on multiplying multi-digit numbers, fractions and introduction to decimals. The work is rigorous, but we will have a lot of fun too. I believe all students learn best in a positive, encouraging environment that embraces each student as a unique individual. We are all life-long learners and we learn from making mistakes and constant practice.
I am always available if you have questions or comments about your child or our classroom. Please feel free to contact me at 865-986-2420 x1512 or at email@example.com
. Check out my "Beginning Of The Year Essentials" page for fun activities kids can do to be prepared for the first week of 4th grade and our school supply list. I look forward to meeting you on registration day. The supply list for 4th grade is listed below. I also have a classroom wish list link posted if you would like to contribute to our classroom.
