LAUNCH

Sign up link will be posted to the Eaton Elementary website on Wednesday the 9th  at 8am and close on Friday 11th at 3pm. All clubs are first come first serve and will be timestamped by the Form. Wait list will be filled as received. If your child is signed up for a club you will receive a permission form on December  14th and it will need to be returned no later than December 18th  or the wait list will be implemented moving forward. All clubs will begin on January 11th.

 

ALL AM CLUBS ARE FROM 7:10am-7:40am. ALL PM CLUBS ARE 3:30pm-5:30pm, EXCEPT RUN CLUB IS 3:30pm-4:30pm

CLUB DESCRIPTIONS:
 
  • Reading Enrichment: Students will be given grade level passages to read and practice important grade level skills with.
  • Relaxed Reading- This group is exactly what it sounds like, students will be able to lounge around and start their days off reading a great book of their choosing!
  • Become a Scientist- This is a new to our LAUNCH program, but students will be doing hands on science experiments and learning more about the world around them.
  • Disney Lover Movie Club- This group is all about Disney and Disney movies! There are trivia days, Disney themed games, and yes, movie time (all rated G)!
  • Lego Club- Students get to use their creative minds and create Lego creations with Lego building kits. They also get to have “free build” time where they create whatever their minds want.
  • Kindness Club- This is a club that contributes to our school and community by taking part in kind challenges, community service projects, and helping to create a positive school environment.
  • Board Game Club- This group is exactly what it sounds like, students will be engaged in board games and learning how to work together as a team, how to problem solve, and how to show good sportsmanship.
  • Run Club- This is a physical fitness club that encourages students to stay active and set goals for themselves. This is the only club that will end at 4:30 this semester.
  • Learn to Draw- This group is dedicated to allowing our students to show their artistic side. They participate in a guided drawing activity and then get to add their own creative twist with colors and additional designs.
  • Fun Fitness Group-This is a physical fitness club that encourages students to have fun while staying active.
  • Coding 101- This is a new club to our LAUNCH program. Students will be learning the basics of coding using the technology they come in contact with daily. This will be a game based group, and you will be surprised how much the students are learning at the same time.
  • Writing Café- This is a new club to our LAUNCH program. Students will get to put on their author's cap and try out different types of writing such as narratives, poetry, and informational. Students will pick one piece of writing to take all the way through the writing process and publish as a book for others to read!
  • Photography- This is a new club to our LAUNCH program. Students will learn how to create art with the simple act of pressing the capture button. They will also be able to print their photos and produce a scrapbook of their memories.
