Monday Minute

3.30.2020

Happy Monday. We miss seeing our students and hope everyone is doing well. We’ve been impressed with how hard everyone is still working. We know this is a stressful time for you and our goal is to support you. Your child’s homeroom teacher should be reaching out to you this week to check in and offer help. We are updating our website and Facebook site daily with resources. Our school office is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00 until 1:00.

We have meal distribution taking place Monday and Wednesday from 12-1. During that time, you can also pick up week 1 grade level packets if you would like additional resources beyond what your teacher has provided. We will be adding those resources to our website on Wednesday too.  Moving forward, we will have activity packets available for pick up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday from 9:00 to 1:00. However, you can drive through on Monday and Wednesday and we will provide it through the meal distribution line. If these times do not work for you, please let us know. We will label packets with your name and leave them outside the front doors in a tote. This will make them available for pick up at your convenience. We will also begin taking paper packets back after they are completed this week to allow teachers opportunities to give more feedback on student work. These can be dropped off at any of the pick-up times. Packets may also be accessed and returned digitally, and teachers will give you more information about this.

We have contact Lifetouch about spring pictures and they will be delivered to the school shortly. We will send out another message regarding how to pick those up once they arrive. If you are still wanting a yearbook please contact your teacher and they will help you take care of reserving one.

Again, we are here for you and if we can do anything please reach out. Thank you for listening and have a great Monday.

Thank you,

Mrs. Ashley Baessler

3. Grandparents dinner is Friday. We look forward to seeing everyone who RSVP’d for that event.
4. We have Parent Teacher conferences on Thursday. Since conferences are on Thursday there will be NO LAUNCH this Thursday.
5. LAUNCH: Please bring your small wallet pick-up pass or car tag when you are picking your child up from the LAUNCH program. This allows whomever is working to ensure we are sending students home with the proper person.
6. Spirit Week is next week to kick-off our Read-a-thon, which is our one fundraiser for the year. Monday, September 9th will be school spirit day so break out any rocket apparel or royal blue gear.
Thank you for listening to the “Parent Monday Minute” and we hope you have a great week.

Happy Monday! This is your “Parent Monday Minute” brought to you by Mrs. Baessler. We have 6 things we want to remind you about this week.
1. Thank you for respecting the signage at Central United Methodist and not parking in the spots designated for their school.
2. The Rocketeer will be coming home on Friday. It will have a parent calendar of events for September, your PTO parent connection, a message from the office, box top collection sheet, and the lunch menu.
3. Grandparents dinner flyers went home last week please complete those and turn them in this week if you are choosing to participate.
4. There is no school on Monday, September 2nd in honor of Labor Day.
5. We have Parent Teacher conferences right around the corner. You should receive information this week to schedule your conference time.
6. We are collecting Battle of the Bridge can donations right now. At last count Mrs. Russell’s second grade class is in the lead.
Thank you for listening to the “Parent Monday Minute” and we hope you have a great week.
