Welcome to the library, Eaton Rockets!  My name is Amanda Knies (pronounced "niece").  I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Tennessee.  Go Vols!!  Also, I have a Master of Education in School Librarianship from East Tennessee State University.  

 

I was born and raised in Roane County, where I currently live with my husband and two children.  Previously, I worked for Roane County Schools with special education, K-2 math and literacy intervention, and in the school library.  Also, I have taught English as a Second Language courses to elementary age students through an online platform.  

 

I am excited to be joining the Eaton family!!  I hope to nurture every student's love of reading, while supporting classroom curricula and incorporating technology.
