Monday Minute 10.24.22

Good afternoon, Eaton Family. Thank you for your support with our annual fundraiser. We had a blast at the Read-a-thon during school and the Carnival after school. I believe this was the biggest turnout yet.

  1. We are having a “Fall into Reading” night tomorrow from 5:30-6:30. We would love to have you come and hear how you can help your child at home. Please register using the link:
  2. We have the Fire Assembly on Tuesday hosted by the Fire Department, Rocket Reporter on Friday, and Student Celebration Assembly on Friday.
  3. We are asking everyone to wear pink on Thursday. We’ve had a few staff members impacted by breast cancer in the past and we want to support it during October. We will have a jar in the office students can donate coins.
  4. We are gathering prizes for the Read-a-thon now. If your child earned ice cream and headphones those will be given out this week. If your child earned the “Star of Knoxville” field trip and/or Read-a-thon t-shirt forms have been given to your child’s teacher. We will do the other prizes in the coming weeks.
  5. Monday is Halloween and students can dress up at school. However, dress code does still apply and there should not be any weapons or blood. If your child’s costume becomes a distraction for themselves or others, we will ask them to change.
  6. We are gearing up for our Veteran’s Day Parade on November 11th. Please help us spread the word so we can celebrate our Veteran’s in style. Veterans will gather at Central United Methodist at 9:30 and the parade will begin at 10:00. Veteran’s will stay in their car as the drive thru NMS and EES campus. Our students will line the drive to cheer and thank them for their service.

Have a great week and if we can do anything reach out.

Thank you,

Mrs. Baessler
